Where To Take Your Trunki? Amazing UK Attractions!

With the weather improving and summer rolling in, we thought it was about time to share some more awesome ideas for family days out!

This time there is a twist though… you can get a discount on all of the suggested attractions through Picniq!

So get those little ones packing their Trunki cases, load up the EAT Range & PaddlePak’s and head to one of these great attractions…

Longleat Safari Park

The UK’s best safari park must be one of the most popular summer attractions Britain has to offer. If your little ones like animals, this is the place – they have everything, including some new attractions that have recently opened.

Kidzania

Kidzania is a huge real-life roleplay experience center for children, with over 60 different exhibitions, varying from action packed emergency services to empowering singer-songwriter productions! It’s like they write on their website:

‘Have your kids ever dreamt of becoming a pilot, a firefighter, or the next award-winning singer? Watch the excitement on their faces as they choose which activities they wish to try, from 60 real life role-play activities in the bank, on stage or fighting crime on the streets as a police officer! Each role-play experience is crafted to teach children essential life skills including financial literacy, team work and independence’

Lightwater Valley

Lightwater Valley is a theme park located in Yorkshire, and is perhaps best known for having the longest roller-coaster in Europe – The Ultimate. It’s not all big rides and stomach churning drops though, Lightwater caters for all ages, and is a great day out for the whole family.

Paradise Wildlife Park

The second animal related attraction in this list – Paradise Wildlife park gives Longleat a run for its money. With many different animals, attractions, exhibitions, shows and tours – you would be hard pushed to find a better family day out… if you like animals of course!

Paradise Wildlife Park even offers unique animal experiences that are certainly worth noting. They have attractions like ‘Meet A Meerkat’ and ‘Tickle A Tapir’, so if your little one is animal crazy this might be the place!

Cheddar Gorge

The spectacular Cheddar Gorge is one for nature lovers everywhere, hugely popular for family trips and days out.

Cheddar Gorge is Britain’s biggest gorge, ranging from the 450 foot cliffs, all the way down to the stunning stalactite caverns – a real example of the beauty of nature, and it’s right on your doorstep!

Cheddar Gorge also runs fun events and exhibitions that make it more attractive and enjoyable for the little ones – like their glow in the dark Easter Egg Hunt. Take a look here! Like they say on their website:

‘A great day out for families, nature and history lovers, and outdoor adventurers’

London Zoo

Fairly self-explanatory, but certainly worth a mention – London Zoo, the third animal related attraction on our list!

Going to the zoo as a family must be one of the most classic days out in history, and oldie but goldie. London Zoo has a great range of animals and exhibitions, including Pygmy Hippos, Fruit Bats, Lemurs, Galapagos Turtles and a whole host of other fury and not-so-fury friends!

Adventure Wonderland

Our final idea is another family theme park, specialising in rides and attractions for children under the age of 12. Their features include an Alice In Wonderland Maze, a ‘wild thing’ indoor play area, special exhibitions such as Peppa Pig and Fireman Sam events and of course a host of family friends rides and shows!
